Come and see us depart from the Red Gate at the Ardingly Showground.10:30 for 11:00am We will be leaving at one minute intervals so you will have a clear view of each vehicle as it starts off. We will let you know where our mystery route will take us on the day(Even the webmaster doesn't know yet!)
All I know at the moment is that an interesting mix of vehicles have entered so far from the ridiculous (Morris Minor 1931) to the sublime(Rolls Royce Corniche 1979) as well as several commercials.

Feb 2008: The site has been rebuilt. Please email me if you find any problems; at the moment I have only found the 'send us a link' email system is not working. I have taken the opportunity to delete old files and therefore reduced disk space. Dave

Jan 2008: I had the a request from a school in West Sussex asking if any members would be able to visit with their transport item (bike/car/similar) as the pupils are studying transport this term. If you have a suitable item let me know and I will forward your details. Dave

The ARDINGLY VINTAGE AND CLASSIC VEHICLE SHOW 2008 will be on July 12/13th: A reminder that you should have contacted us by 31 March if you don't get an entry form. Please ensure that you return them to marshals before 30th April as the event is so popular that there may not be room for your exhibit after that date.

The Ardingly Show 2007 was a great success. Despite all the forecasts the weather was clear and bright for much of the show, with no rain falling and little breeze. The large number of visitors gave it a holiday atmosphere.
Because of the condition of the ground space had to be reallocated for camping and several classes of entry. As a result the parade ring was full of cars with only a straight through run possible for the parades. The ground had not dried enough for the heavy machines to move off road apart from parking up - steam could only drive round the roadways on the Sunday.
The old time fair seemed brighter than ever.
There was a mixed reaction from the car clubs that were repositioned in the Abergavenny building; some were not too keen while others enjoyed the shelter it provided for their exhibits.

We have revamped the picture album and can now include video and other multimedia files. To play a multimedia file you may need to right click and save it to your pc. Do this if you do not see much activity on your modem. The latest videos are of Cobbs Mill and its waterwheel and gas engine.
